I've been wanting to change my blog from typepad for a while because I am unwilling to pay £4 a month a moth just to have my own header. So my blog is now here on wordpress. All future updates will be on wordpress.
I've also been wanting to make a more professional website for a while and have decided to use cargo for this. So far I've added content and I will be upgrading it to a proper website soon.

Here I am on my first day of school in 1994.
And here I am at my degree show, 2011.
So this is the end of my education, but the beginning of my career as an illustrator. :)
Last night I went to the final part of the Amelia Compendium of Fashion Illustration book tour, which was held in Tatty Devine in Brick Lane. I went with my BFF, talented writer and The Young Creatives founder Katie Byrne.
When we got inside we were immediately overwhelmed by how colourful and lovely everything was. Jewellery that looked good enough to eat and biscuits that looked like art. The biscuits were provide by the Biscuiteers, who hand make every single biscuit! As well as there being plenty to eat you had the chance to have a go icing a masterpiece yourself.

To wash down biscuits there was Lahloo tea in beautiful tea cups and bottles of Juiceology in some fantastic flavours.
After we'd all had (more than) sufficient biscuits and tea and Amelia gave her talk, balancing a laptop on her shoulder. It encompassed how she started the magazine, how it became a website, how the two book came about, and was full of lots of helpful tips on social networking and getting yourself out there.
At the end of the talk I got a bit of my work out for people to look at. People usually only see my work on screen so I think it was quite nice for people to see the originals.
Before I left I met a lovely lady from Dr. Hauschka and grabbed some free samples. I absolutely love Dr. Hauschka's products, so that was quite a treat. Can't wait to try my face mask. :)
Anyone who sees me on a day to day basis knows I'm very into Audrey Hepburn at the moment. When getting dressed in the morning 'what would audrey wear?' is a question ever on my mind. Anyway this drawing was inspired by a scene in Funny Face.
Last was the private view of my degree show. Here I am with my mummy in front of my work.
I have my six secret garden pieces framed, all my tea and cake artwork cascading down the wall and some of my copper engravings.

I've been having lots of fun designing patterns at the moment. I printed these ones out for my portfolio.
I submitted this one to Illustration Rally's rather fab pattern rally. There are some beautiful entries and plus prizes, so do have a look.
This is the original collaged image I started with.
A created a cover for a Scott Fitzgerald book as part of a uni project, so when I got this little book of Scott Fitzgerald short stories free with the telegraph I knew exactly what to do with it. It's very nice to see my cover design with a real book inside.
On my way to Cass Art in Islington I took a stroll through Camden Passage and browsed the market stalls and little shops. Everything's so beautiful, if a little over priced. The whole market's such a visual treat.
This isn't the market, but I thought these roses in someone's garden were too lovely not to take a photo of.
